This collection features “Dyer” of Arbëresh towns in Calabria, in Southern Italy. It was born from a long-standing fascination with doors, not only for their practical role in securing spaces, but for their profound symbolic weight. In this body of work, doors serve as metaphors for life’s passages. They mark rites of passage and significant life events, suggesting movement into new phases of existence. Here, life is not a singular moment but a continuous flow—one that carries us through dissolution and rebirth, echoing the possibility of an afterlife not as an ending, but as a return.
